About
Todd P Bridges was born in Kettering Ohio. He began piano lessons at a young age and jumped from instrument to instrument, as he continued down the musical path. After playing in school groups first on cello and saxophone, he focused on drumset during his early high school years, taking lessons from Steve Barnes (currently a professor at University of North Texas). His first groups consisted of local punk, rock, and ska groups until he heard a local Jazz Ensemble.
Todd aquired his Bachelors of Music performance at The Ohio State University. After graduating OSU, he relocated to Chicago where he performed in local groups and networked with other musicians. Soon after, he moved back to Ohio where he received his music education degree at Wright State University. His first teaching experience was elementary music in Columbus, Georgia. He later was hired on as an Orchestra Director/Assistent Band Director for Fairborn City Schools. Currently he is a Band Director at Sidney City Schools, where he has worked for the last 7 years.
Todd has played in several local jazz ensembles and rock bands, playing festivals, weddings, clubs and bars, and also has taught private lessons for students of all ages and musical experiences.
In his spare time, Todd enjoys hanging out with his family and learning about computers.
